I am passionate about learning and sharing knowledge.  I am even more passionate about learning and sharing knowledge about purpose. I find purpose in teaching workshops about important issues such as ethics and self care.  I find purpose in teaching workshops on how to treat First Responder Needs and how to heal broken marriages.

Current CE Workshops Offered

Understanding the treatment needs of first responders is vital.  First responders include,  but are not limited to,  Firefighters,  EMS Personnel, Police Officers, 911 Dispatchers, and Emergency Hospital Personnel.  Research has shown that clinicians who do not understand their specific needs, their lifestyles, and the culture of their careers, may actually do more harm in treatment.   This workshop will equip clinicians with the following:

  • To review cultural information related to the culture of first responder careers, and review the research regarding their mental health needs.

  • To review unique perspectives and experiences amongst each professoinal career.

  • To review ethical behaviors and what NOT TO DO when treating first responders as these strategies may cause more harm.

  • To review specific evidence based treatment strategies customized for first responders.

  • To review resources available to First Responders other than mental health counseling services.
