Treating the Whole Person
This workshop will increase knowledge regarding how CBT and REBT strategies help clinicians treat the whole person and not just individual symptoms. You will also be introduced to a new treatment approach backed by case studies and preliminary data designed to treat the whole person and not just individual symptoms. The new treatment approach, Individualized Balanced Awareness (IBA) was developed by Dr. Barnes and has been found to be effective within her private practice.
You will receive IBA manuals at the workshop, yours to keep.

Behavior Modification for Difficult Cases
This workshop will provide an understanding of how to apply operant (instrumental) conditioning to the behaviors which clients state they want to change but have difficulty in doing so. This workshop is appropriate for clinicians who work with difficult behaviors, addictions, defiant children, or court mandated clients. The workshop will review the original operant conditioning theories and provide an over view of how this theory has lead to the rise of applied behavior analysis. This workshop will also summarize research and instruction from Alan Kazdin, author of "Behavior Modification in Applied Settings."
